Court Grants Preliminary Approval of Settlement Agreement in Northwest Immigrants Rights Project v. USCIS


WASHINGTON – On ATE w:st="on" Year="2008" Day="2" Month="6" ls="trans">June 2, 2008ATE>, the United States District Court, Western District of Washington at Seattle signed an “Order of Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement” in the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (“NWIRP” aka “LEAP”) legalization class action.

Objections or comments to the settlement agreement are to be filed with the court no later than ATE w:st="on" Year="2008" Day="15" Month="7" ls="trans">July 15, 2008ATE> (Applications will not be accepted by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) until and unless the court approves the agreement and an application period is announced).
